Make-Up

"It's All In The Eyes" with Patrice. Step-by-step demonstration to achieving a flawless face with a strong emphasis on the eyes for both stage and intimate venues. Basic make up techniques will be covered, including tips-and-tricks for an effortless application, essentials for your dancer emergency kit, and a SURPRISE give-away for one lucky workshop participant!!! Attendees are encouraged to bring make up items that they have questions concerning specific uses, application, etc. Please bring a notebook and a pen, because a lot of information will be covered in a short amount of time.

Costuming

Focusing on basic items for both Tribal and Cabaret Style! Learn about pants, skirts, bras and belts...plus accessories! Berna is an award-winning costumer with over 15 years of dabbling in the costume arts! This is a great workshop to leran tips and technique, styling, fit and flair for beginners and experienced sewers. Berna will share some of her original patterns...this is not to be missed!

** Drillz and Zillz Workshop: September 12^th 1:00 - 4:30 pm ... $25 Adv., $30Door

Drills "I like to MOVE IT-MOVE IT" with Patrice...Give your brain and body a workout during this stretch, strengthen and conditioning class. Technique drills will draw from modern, ballet and jazz, as well as bellydance with a focus on traveling across the floor. Please bring a yoga mat, water and comfortable clothing. Although modern, ballet or jazz training is not a pre-requisite for this class, some previous bellydance experience is recommended.

Zills, Sagat or Finger Cymbals! Come learn and drill finger cymbal patterns and figure the magic accents in the music! We'll explore how to use musical accents in your dance and how the zills can bring them to life. We will go over some finger cymbal technique and practical drills and use these instruments in our dance. I will also teach a pattern for a popular song...Some loaner pairs will be available, but are limited, so please let me know when you register!

The Spring/Early Summer Class Session

Spring has sprung!! Yay! Finally!

The session begins April 20th for Tuesday classes and April 30th for Friday! (please note these are the correct days, there was a typo.... :O)

Class schedule will be as follows...All classes need 6 registered students to be held:

Classes will be held at the Bodiography Studio in Squirrel Hill... Class times are adjusting a bit and there will be a pricing discount (Yay!!)

LEVEL 1 Technique: Foundations for Belly Dance - Tuesday 7:00-8:00

• * No Prerequisite, on-going classes... This is Part B (You can take A or B in any order)
  
• * Bodiography Studio -- 5824 Forbes Ave. Sq. Hill
• * April 20th - June 22nd -- 8 weeks (no class on May 18th and June 8th)
  
• * $85 for the session, register by April 15th
  

LEVEL 2 Technique: Continuing Drills and Choreography for Belly Dance - Tuesday 8:15-9:15

• * Must have taken Level 1 both A and B sessions or have previous experience
• * Bodiography Studio -- 5824 Forbes Ave. Sq. Hill
• * April 20th - June 22nd -- 8 weeks (no class on May 18th and June 8th)
  
• * $85 for the session, register by April 15th

Mixed Level Technique and Drills: All Levels - Friday 7:00-8:00

• * Previous belly dance experience requested, on-going classes
• * We will be using zills (finger cymbals) for part of class
• * Bodiography Studio -- 5824 Forbes Ave. Sq. Hill
• * April 30th - July 2nd -- 8 weeks (No class May 7th and May 21st)
• * $85 for the session, register by April 15th, $12 Drop-ins

Mixed Level Choreography / Level 3 Technique (Troupe/Invitation) - Friday 8:15-9:15

• * Previous belly dance experience...Troupe Rehearsal, please contact me for invitation

• * April 30th - July 2nd -- 8 weeks (No class May 7th and May 21st)
• * $85 for the session, register by April 15th
  

Take any two session classes for $160!


All classes must have 6 students registered in order to run. Any missed classes can be made up at any other day/class as long as it is in the same session.
If you miss 5 classes in a session and are unable to make them up at other classes, you can trade in those for private/semi-privates on a case by case basis.

SNOW is a four letter word -- Friday is CANCELLED~

Ok ladies ~~ we are cancelled for Friday the 26th (today)!

I waited as long as I could...we're getting dumped on up here~!

The snow has settled it for us. Michael is taking my SUV so he can get to work and I'm bussing it... His car is sliding something fierce!! If I can't get there, I suspect it would be tough for a lot of you!

We'll reschedule, again... look at it this way...more time to dance when it's nice outside!!

Sunday rehearsal is most definitively on. Not going to reschedule at all... Period :O) See you there by 1:00~

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 19th -- We're back!! (Modified Schedule)

We are finally back!! Yay!!

We will have a slightly modified schedule though! I had forgotten with all of this crazy weather and rescheduling:

• Mixed level will be from 6:00-7:30
• Level 3 will be from 7:30-9:00

If this causes anyone any problems, please let me know! I will try to make it up as best I can....I apologize for the lateness of the message!!

One last time, today's class we'll be rescheduled until the end with the other one from last week.

SNOW ALERT

RESCHEDULING THE MAKE UP CLASS UNTIL THE END OF THE SESSION:

The Friday Makeup class for the 2/5 which was moved to 2/12, will be changed to the end of the session, March 26th. The La Belle Sultana rehearsal has been rescheduled for April 16th.

The Tuesday Makeup class for the 2/9, will be added to the end of the session, March 23rd

THERE IS NO CLASS THIS TUESDAY (2/9) and FRIDAY (2/12), and NO REHEARSAL THIS WEEK.....

***WEATHER ALERT*** Friday Class, February 5, is rescheduled for February 12th

Due to the impending snow (doom!) I want everyone to be safe!! I am rescheduling tomorrow night's class for the following week (February 12th) where we did not have class scheduled. La Belle Sultana rehearsal will be rescheduled as well.... (likely we will just have a longer rehearsal on the 28th). Please call me with any questions!!
